NBA | O.G. Anunoby Named to Second Team Defensive All-Star

Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby has been named to the NBA Second Team Defensive All-Star.




The 25-year-old Anunoby led the NBA in regular-season steals, averaging 1.9 per game. He had the task of covering the best players on the opposing periphery for the majority of the campaign.

The Raptors also led the NBA with 9.4 steals per game, ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies, both at 8.3.

Anunoby received 14 votes for first-team defensive all-star and 53 for second.

He was joined on the second team by Ontarian Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies, Derrick White of the Boston Celtics, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, and Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat.

The first defensive all-star team consisted of Jaren Jackson Jr., Grizzlies, MVP winner Brook Lopez, Milwaukee Bucks, Jrue Holiday, also Bucks, Evan Mobley, Cavaliers of Cleveland, and Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls.
