NBA | Ja Morant still filmed brandishing a gun

The story repeats itself. Ja Morant has been suspended from Memphis Grizzlies team activities after he again appeared with what appears to be a gun in a video posted to social media.

In the Instagram Live video, which has been circulating the web for a few hours, Morant dances and sings with friends in a vehicle. At one point, the camera briefly shows the Grizzlies star in the front passenger seat with what appears to be a gun in his hand.

According to what was first reported by the journalist of The AthleticShams Charania, the Memphis roster has suspended the player from “all team activities” pending an NBA investigation.

Circuit spokesman Mike Bass told Charania that the League was “aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant” and was “gathering more information”.

This isn’t the first time Morant has found himself in trouble for a similar reason. Just two months ago, the basketball player was suspended eight games “for conduct detrimental to the league” after posting a video of himself brandishing a gun.

After investigation, the local police decided not to charge the 23-year-old athlete, concluding “that no one had been threatened by the firearm”. Morant had for his part assured that the weapon “does not [lui] didn’t belong.”

“I realize what I have to lose. […] It’s just about being more responsible, smarter and not making bad decisions,” Morant said in an interview with ESPN.
