NBA | Draymond Green suspended ‘indefinitely’ after hitting Jusuf Nurkic

(San Francisco) The NBA announced Tuesday that it was indefinitely suspending Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green, less than 24 hours after he hit Jusuf Nurkic in the face.


Green hit Nurkic hard in the head with his arm while turning around early in the third quarter. He was ejected from this meeting against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

The sanction was handed down by Joe Dumars, NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations.

“He will have to fulfill certain conditions established by the league and the team before being able to return to play,” indicated the circuit. Green’s history of “unsportsmanlike acts” factored into this decision.

Green was ejected from a game for the 18e times in his career, a high among active players.

Green was suspended for the first time this season in November. He watched five games from the press box after grabbing Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves by the neck. He was sent off from the match between the two teams on November 14.

In 15 games this season, Green has averaged 9.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 25.1 minutes of play. The 33-year-old American is playing his 12th game.e season in the NBA, all with the Warriors.
