(Los Angeles) American basketball player Danny Green (37), one of four players in history to have won an NBA title with three different franchises, announced his retirement on Thursday.
Green, who played 15 seasons in the North American professional league including 8 with San Antonio, was titled with Tony Parker’s Spurs in 2014, with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 then with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
This precise 3-point guard won his last championship ring in the company of LeBron James, who was also crowned with three different franchises (Miami, Cleveland and the Lakers), like John Salley and Robert Horry.
In 15 NBA seasons, Green played in 832 games, but only 24 total in the last two seasons, finishing his career with two games for Philadelphia.
