Indiana Pacers player Bennedict Mathurin was named NBA Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for November on Thursday.

This season, the 20-year-old leads all freshmen in the league with 403 points, earning him a per-game average of 19.2. He is also at the top for successful three-point shots and free throws.
Over the past month, Mathurin has surpassed the 20-point mark eight times in 13 games. His best tally was 30 points in a 122-119 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 9.
Mathurin and the Pacers (12-9) will play their next game Friday night against the Utah Jazz.
In the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams was named rookie of the month.
