Police have opened an investigation into threats Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri received after Game 3 of the second-round series against the St. Louis Blues.

In the first period of this duel presented Saturday at the Enterprise Center, the 31-year-old winger fell on goalkeeper Jordan Binnington after contact with defender Calle Rosen. The masked Blues man injured his lower body on the streak and will miss the rest of the series against the “Avs”.
“The Avalanche organization is aware of the threats made against Nazem Kadri and is working with local authorities in an investigation,” the National League club said in a statement.
The co-founder of the “Alliance for Diversity in Hockey” Akim Aliu revealed on his Twitter account that Kadri was the victim of “threats and racist attacks”.
Game 4 between the Avalanche and the Blues is scheduled for Monday night in Missouri. Colorado lead 2-1.
