Parents of a little girl named Lou Ezna Fatima Zonga, Nawell Madani and her darling Djebril Zonga went to the 47th edition of the César ceremony at the Olympia on February 25, 2022. Invited to present the César for best photography with Lyna Khoudri, the former footballer turned model was filmed by the comedian in the taxi just before arriving at the ceremony.
Elegant and (very) charismatic, the beautiful brown appears strumming on his phone. Would the man be legitimately a little stressed a few minutes into the evening? Not at all. “Where are you going like this?“, Nawell Madani asks him humorously. Confident and teasing, he replies: “I’m going to the Césars to give a prize… It’s part of the 7th art“.
Light is the soul of a film
On the red carpet, the couple – very rare on the social side – appeared very complicit, not hesitating to hug each other in front of the photographers. Dressed in a long black dress revealing her arms and cleavage thanks to a vaporous tulle material, Nawell Madani was sublime on the arm of Djebril Zonga, classy in a midnight blue tuxedo with a satin lapel.
And because he is not just a physical figure, Djebril Zonga also made a speech worthy of the greatest poets of the 20th century once on stage. Echoing a phrase heard in the past, “I don’t work the light I sculpt the dark“, he adds : “I would say ‘Light is the soul of a film, its metaphysical incandescence’. Words that must have seduced the public present at the Olympia. A few minutes later, the model then presented the César for best photography to Christophe Beaucarne for Illusions lost.
This is not the first time that Djebril Zonga has attended this ceremony since he was nominated for the César in the Best male hopeful category in 2020 for his role in the film by Ladj Ly, Wretched. A few years earlier, it was Nawell Madani who offered him his first film role in his film That’s all for me (2017).
As a reminder, the couple welcomed their first child in September 2021 after many years of love.
