Natural Landes Beer from Lit-et-Mixe for cooking, but of course!

At BNL, the Brasserie Naturelle des Landes, rue du moulin in Lit-et-Mixe, we like to cook all kinds of recipes with beer. Idesbald Linossier the brewer to test for you jelly sweets with his beer. Child’s play. You need quality beer, sugar and agar-agar. For the aperitif for example you will add foie gras and/or ham and for a sweet version of chocolate and even for a spicy version of candied ginger. It’s up to you to play the little chemist and try the combinations of your choice.

A jelly like any jelly jam. To try at home you need:

  • 1 liter peated beer
  • 500 grams of sugar
  • 4 to 6 grams of agar-agar.

Mix the beer and sugar with a whisk until the sugar dissolves. Add the agar-agar and mix again. Heat until boiling and leave on low heat for about 15 minutes before pouring the preparation into small moulds, for example. All you have to do is add your pieces of chocolate or your candied ginger like our brewer who tells you more by listening to the program of the day.

New graphics for the brand new carousel box from BNL. Not labels to dress the new range of beer but almost paintings made by artists from the Landes.
