National tribute ceremony to Karl Tremblay: tickets sell out in less than 30 minutes

Quebec will be there for a last goodbye to Karl Tremblay. The national tribute ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at the Bell Center, is already sold out.

Free tickets were available Thursday from 10 a.m. on the Evenko website, with a limit of four tickets per transaction.

If the progress of the event has not yet been revealed, we know that the lyricist of Cowboys Fringants and great friend of Karl Tremblay, Jean-François Pauzé, will address the crowd.

Some songs will also be performed with musicians from the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.

The film America cries will also be broadcast on the big screen.

A national funeral was proposed by the Legault government to the family of Karl Tremblay, who opted instead for a secular ceremony.

The Bell Center was of great importance to Les Cowboys Fringants, who played there nine times during their career.

Karl Tremblay, 47, died on November 15 from prostate cancer.
