In Quebec, shopping centers, pharmacies and grocery stores will be open despite the public holiday and non-working day, like the branches of the Société des alcools du Québec and the Société québécoise du cannabis.

Public transport will remain in operation, but according to modified schedules.

For a family outing, head to the Biodôme, the Biosphere, the Botanical Garden, the Insectarium and the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, which will continue to welcome young and old on Monday.

In Montreal, the schedule for sports and cultural facilities will vary depending on the borough. Before moving, the population is invited to communicate with the personnel of the places concerned.

Domestic waste, recyclable materials, food waste: collections will remain unchanged. In Montreal North, green waste will however be collected on Tuesday.

Closed

Banks and credit unions will close, as will federal and provincial service outlets and the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec.

Canada Post offices will also not open and no mail delivery will be made.

Like every Monday, the libraries will be closed.

At the municipal court, only the appearances of detainees will be maintained.

To apply for a sticker or find out about the regulations of a borough, you will have to use online services, because Accès Montréal offices and permit counters will be closed.
