In the United States, national parks are increasingly suffering from global warming. Melting ice, erosion, modification of nature: the consequences are already visible.

A panoramic view for hikers: in the heart of Montana (United States), lies Glacier National Park. An almost inappropriate name today. Indeed, victim of global warming, the national park is in danger. The visible changes call out: “It’s really scary. I haven’t started a family yet, but I would like to come here one day with my children, if everything is still there in the near future”explains a tourist.

Photos in the park show how the glacier used to be. The changes are profound since it has now almost disappeared. “Before, everything was white, covered in snow, you couldn’t see the rocks: there were even waterfalls gushing out. When we went underneath, we were soaked. Today there is barely a trickle of water”deplores a local guide.
