Jean Michel Blanquer, former Minister of National Education, agreed to return for franceinfo this Saturday, October 12, on the finance bill and the controversies surrounding it.
The finance bill was unveiled on Thursday October 10. In this project, measures pose a problem, particularly in the education sector, as reported by today’s guest: Jean Michel Blanquer, former Minister of Education. “National education is not the subject on which we must first make savings.” he estimates. According to the former minister, savings in education would create additional social spending in the future.
The measures recommended by the finance bill could lead to the elimination of 4,000 jobs in France. An approach that Jean-Michel Blanquer criticizes “it doesn’t make sense to save money on primary school” indicates the former minister. In comparison with other countries, France spends less than the average of OECD countries, he recalled.
