National Capital | Two seriously injured in a collision between a motorcycle and two cars

(Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier) An accident involving a three-wheeled Spyder motorcycle, as well as two other cars, occurred Saturday afternoon in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, in the Capitale-Nationale region.

Posted at 4:14 p.m.

The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m., a little north of the Jacques-Cartier River bridge, on the Fossambault road.

“According to initial findings, a slowdown in traffic would have occurred, and the car following the motorcycle would have collided with it. Under the force of the impact, the motorcycle would also have come into contact with the vehicle in front of it, ”explains Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson, Hélène Saint-Pierre.

Two people were on the Spyder, a man and a woman. The driver was seriously injured and we fear for his life. The passenger suffered significant injuries, and they were both taken to a hospital.

There are no other injuries. It is unclear how many people were in the other two cars involved in the accident.

The Fossambault road was closed to traffic in the area. An expert agent in accident scene reconstruction from the SQ must go to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
