National Capital | A young man may have been the victim of a murder

The Sûreté du Québec is opening an investigation into the possible murder of a man in his twenties found lifeless Monday afternoon in a vehicle in Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury, near Jacques-Cartier National Park.

It was the police officers of the MRC de la Jacques-Cartier who were called to go to chemin des Familles, in Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury, around 2 p.m. Monday. A man in his twenties was in a vehicle, lifeless.

His death was noted on the spot in the afternoon, indicates Hélène St-Pierre, public relations officer for the Sûreté du Québec.

Mme St-Pierre did not have more information on the causes of death when speaking with The Pressin the evening.

However, it could be murder. An autopsy will be performed on the victim’s body.

The forensic identification service is on its way to analyze the scene. The investigation into the alleged homicide was entrusted to the SQ’s investigation of crimes against persons department.
