National Capital | 20-something man found dead in vehicle

(Stoneham) A man in his twenties was found unresponsive Monday in a vehicle in Stoneham, in the Capitale-Nationale region. The hypothesis of a murder is currently retained by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

Police officers from the MRC Jacques-Cartier police station were called around 2 p.m. regarding an inert individual who was in a vehicle on Chemin des Familles. His death was pronounced on the spot.

The investigation service for crimes against the person as well as the judicial indented service of the SQ were dispatched to the scene.

“According to the information collected so far, it could be a murder,” said SQ spokeswoman Hélène St-Pierre.

The investigation is continuing in order to shed light on this event.

A perimeter was erected to allow investigators to analyze the scene. Chemin des Familles is closed to traffic.
