Established 13e seeded, the Lavalloise Fernandez will play against a qualifier in the first round.

Fernandez hasn’t played since injuring her right foot at Roland-Garros in the quarter-finals.
The injury is 100% cleared, Fernadez said at the Toronto tournament draw on Friday.
Undefeated for 37 straight games earlier this year, Swiatek has a bye to the second round.
The streak included a coronation in Paris and four other titles.
Ontario’s Bianca Andreescu’s first rival will be 11e seeded Daria Kasatkina of Russia.
Queen of New York in 2019, Andreescu occupies the 54e WTA rank.
The seeds 2 to 5 are in order Anett Kontaveit, Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa and Ons Jabeur.
Serena Williams is also in the table portion of Fernandez and Swiatek. The 40-year-old champion of 23 major tournaments will play against a qualifier in the first round.
Her sister Venus, 42, will face the Swiss Jill Teichmann.
The competition will also include Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula and Garbine Muguruza, among others.
Qualifying begins Saturday at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto.
