Nathalie Simon reveals that she resorted to several PMA before having her daughter Nina

A former high-level sportswoman who became a windsurfing champion in 1986, Nathalie Simon is a woman with countless hats. After devoting a large part of her life to sport, we were able to see her shine on television, in shows such as “Intercity” Or “The treasure map”.

But among the many roles she plays, it is undoubtedly that of mother that she prefers. It must be said that she fought so hard to get pregnant! Indeed, in an episode of the podcast “Long live” hosted by Lucile Woodward, the former champion reveals having gone through a real obstacle course before being able to become a mother.

Nathalie Simon had recourse to several PMA before becoming pregnant

At Lucile Woodward’s microphone, she confides: “It has already been a very complicated journey for me, my daughter, it was very complicated. The pregnancy happened in a very medical way, I had to have several PMAs, I have a somewhat complicated gynecological journey .” Born in 1998, we understand that her daughter Nina is the product of Medically Assisted Reproduction. Her motherhood was therefore not a walk in the park.

She also explains that this pregnancy jeopardized her health… In fact, shortly after giving birth, her doctor advised her to have an operation to remove her ovaries: “I had to have an operation, no more ovaries, no more tubes (…) I had a lot of fibroids, the doctor told me ‘it would be good if we removed everything’, I said ‘I will finally be rid of this thing that has always been a problem for me.’”

But no regrets on her side: she is more complicit than ever with her daughter! Both share the same passion: sport.
