The general assembly, which was held at the headquarters of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and was closed to the media, ended in some hubbub and confusion. Despite requests from several media, Gwenaëlle Noury, until then president of the Lorient Lanester artistic club (LLAC), did not speak anywhere in the press.
Nathalie Péchalat had assured in recent days that her competitor was remotely controlled by the former president of the FFSG, Didier Gailhaguet. The latter, in office between 1998 and 2004 then from 2007 to 2020, had resigned in the spring of 2020 following the sex scandal in skating denounced by Sarah Abitbol. The former president of the federation was accused of covering up a coach accused of rape and sexual assault.
