You will see others …
It’s the story of a little girl alone, assaulted on a street corner one evening … This little girl grows up and buries this wound, she becomes a woman, touches her dreams of a great singer with her finger, but the crack is there, present. “The body has its memory, I remember” Life goes on, other blows, betrayals, denial, disappointed loves, mourning … She will see others … Having become a woman, she continues to struggle with what ‘she has more dear in her, her will to live and her voice. Then comes the time for resilience, joys, victories and the strength to say “NO”. Continue to live and sing until you free yourself from your guilt and your too heavy suitcases to finally continue the journey.
A word from the Director, Keith Farquhar
The strength of Nathalie Mercier’s one-on-one scene is the balance of the tightrope walker between, on the one hand, the story told as a stripped-down and striking confidence, on the other, the game with all these characters who ‘she plays on stage! The alternation of these two narrative modes makes the relativity of the recounted memories obvious: memory is a creation of the imagination! There is something fantastic, even unreal, about re-enacting life on stage. The characters themselves are like ghosts that take consistency in the story. Through the elements of the decor, “T’en verras autres” brings out this mixture of reality and imagination. The staging is there to bring out all the facets of the show: dramatic sobriety, lightness, humor and music. It is a very lively and colorful story.
