Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Qatari president of Paris Saint-Germain, filed a complaint on Thursday January 18 for “orchestrated, directed, fragmented and truncated violations of professional secrecy, the secrecy of the investigation and the secrecy of the instruction”, announced Friday January 19 in a press release his lawyers Renaud Semerdjian and Francis Szpiner.

A search took place on Monday in Paris at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance as part of a judicial investigation “concerning in particular acts of corruption and active and passive influence peddling” within PSG. This search was carried out as part of the investigation into suspicions of a tax favor granted to the Parisian club on the occasion of the transfer of Brazilian striker Neymar in 2017. Justice is wondering whether the former vice-president On the march to the National Assembly, Hugues Renson tried to obtain from the government “fiscal advantages” for PSG.

“For several weeks we have noticed numerous publications in different media containing a partial selection of elements and documents from current information”, denounce Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s lawyers. These latter remind “the status of civil party in this procedure” from the president of PSG. According to them, the Qatari leader is “victim in particular of attacks on his personal dignity and reputation”.

“We deplore the orchestrated, directed, fragmented and truncated violations of professional secrecy, the secrecy of the investigation and the secrecy of the instruction, which have the sole objective of distorting the reality of the facts and putting pressure on on justice and public opinion.”
