Three years after the release of the exquisite Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, we were certainly hoping for new material from Klô Pelgag, but certainly not this surprise minialbum designed with composer friends Joseph Mihalcean (or Joseph Marchand, guitars) and Samuel Gougoux (from Victime, drummer). Emanates from these four brief original songs all the spontaneity in which they were conceived, the three colleagues exchanging audio files until something appears, a sort of exquisite musical corpse where Mihalcean’s guitar tracks form a nest for the voice, full of echoes, of Pelgag. Gougoux does much more than the puny drum tracks we hear in the middle of In my carinvitation to get lost in the road trip thoughts of the musician: we feel in these sweet songs (the folk chant Color favorite stands out from the rest) the meticulous detail of the sound designer who took on the role of director of the project, the last at the end of the chain to have received the tracks.
