. An episode during which Olivier returned to confront Charlène, a pastry chef who came to test his musical knowledge… But against all odds, the latter was also tested on her culinary knowledge!
True to form, Nagui did not hesitate to tease the latter about the three existing types of meringues: Swiss, Italian and French. And for good reason, the recipes that the latter listed during her presentation simply did not seem to the host’s taste… And suffice to say that Mélanie Page’s companion was quick to let it be known!
“I am a stubborn boy, dear Charlène, very stubborn, and as I do not agree with your meringue recipe, I took the liberty of calling the best pastry chef in the world: Mr. Christophe Michalak.”declared Nagui in particular in front of the candidate who was surprised to say the least.
“We have a pastry chef who is with us and we had a big debate about meringues. Is this meringue Swiss, French or Italian which is hard on the outside and soft on the inside?” asked Nagui while he was on the line with the pastry chef… And unfortunately for Charlène, the professional agreed with the host!
“No, because she told me that it was Switzerland that was hard on the outside and soft on the inside,” continued Nagui to drive the point home!
