The long-awaited evening of the 48th Cesar ceremony took place on Friday February 24, 2023 at the Olympia. In her speech, the beautiful blonde was overtaken by her emotion. “It touches me a lot, thank you, I’m very happy. The Almond Trees is a film that I love so much. But before the end of her speech, the music sounded, a sign that she had to leave the stage. Bastien Bouillon also received a César for best male hope for his role in The Night of 12.
Evening interrupted by…
Around 9:15 p.m., the broadcast of the evening was interrupted by an environmental activist from the Last Renovation movement. This young woman went on stage interrupting the speeches of Ahmed Sylla and Léa Drucker. A clip was played along with a scrolling message explaining the “disruption” while the activist was evacuated.
She wore a top that had it written on it 761days left (there are 761 days left, editor’s note). According to Figaro, after her appearance, she said: “I would never have thought, one day, to come to this, to interrupt the Cesar ceremony to assert my right to life”.
And on Twitter, the environmental movement posted this message : “This event marks the resumption of action for the campaign of civil resistance”.
