NABF | Steve Claggett will put his belt on the line against Miguel Madueno

(Montreal) Steve Claggett will put his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) welterweight belt on the line on November 14, against Mexican Miguel Madueno.


Madueno (30-1, 28 KOs) is ranked 10e aspiring to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight belt and therefore jumps a weight division in order to rub shoulders with Claggett (36-7-2, 25 KOs), who is trying to consolidate his position in the rankings, with points at 15e World Boxing Council (WBC) rank at 147 pounds.

The gala, presented at the Montreal Casino, will also feature Steven Butler (32-4-1, 26 KOs), who lost in the world championship to Zhanibek Alimkhanuly last May.

The middleweight opponent will be disclosed later.

Eye of the Tiger Management will take advantage of this gala to present its new protégés Imam Khataev (3-0, 3 KOs) and Albert Ramirez (17-0.15 KOs) to Quebec boxing fans.

Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (6-1, 2 KOs), Mehmet Unal (5-0, 4 KOs), Luis Santana (10-0, 4 KOs) as well as Moreno Fendero (1-0) will also take part in the evening.
