This Thursday, April 4, 2024, France 2 broadcast a new issue of the show “Cash Investigation”. Journalist Elise Lucet and her team this time focused on influencers promising their subscribers to make easy money via “copy trading” and many other dubious methods which sometimes lead to bankruptcy.
After refusing several interview requests, the former “Anges” candidate turned influencer, Marc Blata, agreed to answer burning questions from Elise Lucet who reminded him that some of his subscribers lost large sums in following his advice related to copy trading. While a subscriber lost nearly €30,000, Marc Blata seems to be having fun with the situation : “I think I’m speaking to people who have the full capacity of their brain. Most of the time it’s a seasoned audience that I address.” declared the one who is today the target of a complaint for fraud.
The man then multiplied the metaphors to absolve himself of his responsibility. “If you look at someone who is making a cake, they are not going to explain to you that flour can be bought at the supermarket, that it is white and it is powdery. he says before adding: “It also annoys me a lot to know that chocolate makes you gain weight and yet it’s so good.”
And Marc Blata concludes: “You know I lost money too. Chocolate is so good but it makes you gain weight. Copy trading can make you make a lot of money but it can also make you lose it.“.
Cash Investigation: an influencer slips up and insults a journalist
The documentary continues and we learn that a journalist from Cash Investigation tried to contact the influencer Rayan PSN who also extolled the merits of online trading to his subscribers. “Hello Rayan, I’m a journalist, I’m preparing a report on online trading, can we talk?” the journalist sent him a message. To which the young man replied: “Fuck your mother whore”.
