Just like Bernard Cazeneuve, Xavier Niel or Guy Carlier, it is in the south of the Oise that Maxime Chattam and Faustine Bollaert have put down their suitcases. In Chantilly, a princely town renowned for its castle and racecourse, the couple took advantage of the joys of the provinces, while remaining close to Paris. In an interview with Parisian Week-End, the 47-year-old author confided in his family weekends in Picardy. Privileged moments that the father of the family spends alongside the host of “It starts today” as well as their two children Abbie and Peters.
And between nature getaways and other family activities, Maxime Chattam also likes to enjoy his interior on bad weather days. And when he’s not watching TV “not allowed during the week”, Maxime Chattam likes to listen to one of his many vinyl records. Musical notes that resonate throughout the house… and which sometimes have the gift of annoying Faustine Bollaert!

“It’s not his cup of tea”
“Miles Davis, Daniel Balavoine, Supertramp…or metal, but my wife is screaming. It’s not his cup of tea.” entrusted the father of the family to our colleagues. Fortunately, listening to music is far from the only activity that Maxime Chattam knows how to appreciate when he is between four walls. In their house, the couple has also moved into a games room which contains a billiard table, table football, arcade terminals, musical instruments and of course board games. “At the moment, we are playing the parts of Les Aventuriers du rail”, revealed the author of “The Constancy of the Predator”. A family life one hour from Paris, but far from Parisian stress.
