At 1:15 am, a waiter serves her a drink in a club. Blackout. A few hours later, Margaux wakes up in the hospital …
It takes place on the night of November 5 to 6 in a nightclub in Lille. Margaux, 19, wakes up in the hospital in “total blackout“After probably being drugged on GHB. Her last memory dates back to her last drink in a bar.”It’s 1:15 a.m., the next time I open my eyes and I’m conscious, it’s in the hospital, in the emergency room“, testifies Margaux.
When Margaux collects her things from the hospital, she notices that her purse is empty: “No more phone, no more bank card, no more identity card, nothing more in it“According to her, the worst was avoided: two people present took her in charge and told her over the phone that they had prevented the person who drugged and stolen her from taking her home.
During her stay in the emergency room, Margaux confides that she was not screened at GHB. “It was tests against cannabis, against ecstasy, against amphetamines, there was a list of 5 or 6 drugs, but there was no GHB, not even LSD, well the powder stuff that we can slip in liquid, none of that“, she laments. Margaux’s complaint was thus unsuccessful, for lack of evidence.
Margaux wanted to tell her story and put a face to what she experienced. “There weren’t many people who dared to talk about it, because there are some who are afraid of reprisals“, she explains. Besides that, by exteriorizing what she has lived, she sees it as a way to heal herself.
