‘My life is ruined,’ says organizer of infamous Willy Wonka event

The organizer of the infamous Willy Wonka-themed event that went viral last February claims his life was “ruined” following the botched experiment.

Billy Coull, the boss of the company which created the much-criticized ‘Willy’s Chocolate Experience’, said his life had become “hell” since his company, House of Illumanati, staged the botched event in Glasgow in Scotland.

In a Channel 5 documentary about the disastrous event, he lamented his situation: “My life has been turned upside down. My life is ruined.

The organizer also indicated that he had received “hundreds and hundreds” of messages urging him to commit suicide, while others described him as a “devil”, a “scoundrel” or a terrible human.

The organizer’s distress, however, was enough to calm some people.

“I’m really sorry for the organizer, he seems broken,” wrote one user on X, for example.

“I sincerely hope he is well and I fear for his mental health and state of mind,” wrote a second user.

“I hope he has people around him who take care of him,” said a third person.

Mr. Coull explained in the documentary that the event did not take the form he wanted.

“I was hoping for a happy, happy event. I wanted people to experience happiness,” he said.

Remember that in February, several families who had paid around $60 to experience a “day of pure imagination and wonder” in an immersive world, involving a walk in magical gardens filled with “delicious” surprises, ended up in a warehouse where some rare and disappointing Wonka-themed decorations were located.

Mr Coull was forced to close the doors to the ‘attraction’ when police were called and families demanded their money back.
