At 67, Étienne Daho is obviously not about to end his career and retire. The famous French singer has just released his thirteenth studio album entitled “Shooting the stars at night”. In this opus, Étienne Daho invites his lifelong friend, Vanessa Paradis, to sing with him for a unique duet.

Invited to the microphone of RTL radio this Friday, May 12, 2023, the artist confided in his collaboration with Vanessa Paradis who had nevertheless stopped singing. “It was obvious on this title. I’ve wanted us to do something together for a long time. We’ve already met, she invited me on stage, we covered songs from her… But we had never sung together on an unreleased song“.

Étienne Daho then lifted the veil behind the scenes of this unexpected collaboration: “What is wonderful with her is that I called her, I asked her if she would like to sing with me. And she said yes, without listening to the song. Total confidence. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” he rejoiced. Finally, the singer explained that he considers the actress and singer as a little sister: “There is a familiarity between us, really. He is someone I really like. I really like the artist she is. I really like the person she is.”
