“My body hurts me a lot”

Serge Lama is unquestionably one of the most popular singers of his generation. His unmissable hits have forever marked the music industry. At 79, the artist is about to unveil his ultimate album called “Aimer”. An opus eagerly awaited by its public which should be released on October 7th. On a daily basis on Instagram, the interpreter of “I am sick” constantly interacts with his followers to reveal his upcoming projects.

This Thursday, September 15, 2022, Luana Santonino’s husband came out of his silence to tease his interview with Steven Bellery for RTL which will air tomorrow. A few months ago, the singer let it be known that he was done with performing. Death in the soul, Serge Lama confirmed to our colleagues that he had just recorded his last opus because his body no longer follows. “There is a moment when things stop, you have to know that you are getting old”, explained the famous lyricist. “ That my body makes me suffer a lot, that I have a lot of problems inherent to the passage of time and so here it is ».

Serge Lama weighed the pros and cons for a long time before recording the end of his career: “There is a moment, you have to know when to stop rather than being stopped”, added the principal concerned. So there I decided it was over. This is my last album”. But this decision was not easy for the star. “Obviously there is something that hurts, but at the same time, it is the respect of the public”, said Frederic Lama’s father. “That is to say that I don’t want to show myself on stage in conditions that would not be optimal. I was lucky enough to be able to make this album already, at almost 80 years old since I was still a man of voice, so it’s complicated to live up to what we have been. So now I think it’s good that it’s the last round. Obviously, Serge Lama will not go back on his choice: “It’s over now, I think I’ll think about it more because it’s done.”
