Montreal police are looking for potential victims of a man who allegedly followed women to sexually assault them in addition to offering them money in exchange for sexual services.
Cafer Tanner, 63, was arrested last Thursday and appeared the next day at the Montreal courthouse on charges of sexual assault and obtaining sexual services for consideration.
He is suspected of assaulting two women in two separate events that took place over the holiday season.
One of the alleged sexual assaults took place on the morning of December 26. Around 10:50 a.m., Cafer Taner allegedly approached a woman in a bus shelter in the Montreal North sector and then followed her onto the bus.
“During the trip, he allegedly committed acts of a sexual nature in addition to asking the woman to send him explicit photos and to solicit sexual services, in return for money,” the SPVM said in a statement.
The investigation showed that Taner would have repeated the same trick with regard to another woman.
The suspect is swarthy and speaks French and English. He is 1.70 meters (5 ft 6 in) tall and weighs 50 kg and weighs 110 lbs. He has gray and brown hair and a thick, graying mustache.
Anyone who has been a victim of this individual is invited to go to the police station in their neighborhood.
