Muslims are in danger of death in Quebec

On March 15, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (CNMC) declared that Muslims are in mortal danger in Quebec. This group of fundamentalists funded by Ottawa but rejected by many Muslims reacted to an Angus Reid poll.

This indicates that 52% of Quebecers have a negative opinion of Islam. This made the CNMC say that we had to “discuss this issue as Canadians”, in order to counter Quebec in some way. According to Stephen Brown, its president, this state of affairs “is dangerous for the lives of Muslim citizens”. Several comments are in order here.

Contempt and dishonesty

It is first hinted that Quebecers are potential assassins, because they have an unfavorable opinion of Islam. Pure contempt!

This is even more dishonest. Quebecers are more suspicious than English Canadians of all religions. For example, 37% have an unfavorable view of Christianity.

It’s different among Anglophones, but there is a common trend with Quebec. It is Islam that receives the highest level of unfavorable opinion, with 39%. To better denigrate Quebec in English Canada, the CNMC ignores this situation.

Brown’s remarks also fuel the theory that there is a link between Bill 21 and anti-Muslim violence. This is the speech held by Amira Elghawaby (who worked at the CNMC) before becoming commissioner for the fight against “Islamophobia”. In 2021, she made a connection between the anti-Muslim attack in London, Ontario and Bill 21.

The same goes for Boufeldja Benabdallah. A few weeks ago, this Muslim leader took advantage of a ceremony commemorating the Quebec mosque attack to make a connection between this tragedy and Law 21… which was passed two years later!

The CNMC contests this legislation and wishes the abolition of the notwithstanding clause, which allows Quebec to partially avoid its invalidation by federal judges. The Council of Muslims recently endorsed the comments of the Liberal MP for Pierrefonds, Sameer Zuberi, who questions the existence of the notwithstanding clause.

In the 2000s, he worked for the CNMC, which was then called CAIR-CAN. Zuberi was particularly involved in human rights issues. At the time, his employer was leading a campaign for the implementation of sharia in family law.

Polygamy and terrorism

The Board of the organization included in its ranks Shahina Siddiqui. In 2008, she defended polygamy saying she was protecting women!

Imam Jamal Badawi also sat on the board. In 2004, he said that Hassan Al-Banna was his biggest inspiration. Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, this admirer of Hitler wanted to establish a religious theocracy in Egypt, as in Iran, Afghanistan or the Gaza Strip.

In 2009, Badawi praised Palestinian terrorists who attack Israel. These were “noble mujahideen who persevere in the path of Allah. They deserve the title of martyrs and they are accused of being terrorists”.

This is the history of the Council of Muslims. And today, these Islamists dare to accuse us of threatening the lives of some of our fellow citizens!
