Music: with “Interior life”, singer Hervé wanted to “find a new sound”

The singer Hervé returns with a second album, called Interior life. For this second opus, he took singing lessons. “Actually, I was already taking it before, but it didn’t show”he jokes. The artist wanted change, something new. In particular, he freed himself from Alain Bashung to go to new worlds. “My first record was my real first record. (…) We sound a lot like what we listen to”, recalls the singer who specifies that he wanted “find a new sound”, And “pushing the boundaries vocally”.

Telling

For Interior lifeHervé started with “write the texts”, what he hadn’t done for Hyperreleased in 2020. This album is an introspection. Hervé talks more personally about his Breton origins and his childhood in the countryside. “When I wrote [D’où je viens]it was the introduction to the album. It was also a way of telling my story.”explains the artist who will be on tour throughout France.
