Entitled Live at the El Mocambo, their album, of two CDs or four vinyl records, will be launched on May 13th. This official album is added to the pirated versions (bootlegs) that have been circulating for years.
Two songs from the album, Rip This Joint and It’s Only Rock’n’Rollhave already been broadcast, indicates the magazine variety.
On March 4 and 5, 1977, the Rolling Stones struck a major publicity stunt by holding two unannounced shows at El Mocambo, a 300-seat club in the heart of Toronto. Margaret Trudeau was present and her passage had been highlighted in all the media.
The Stones had then been identified as the group The Cockroaches, which was to open for the famous Canadian group April Wine. However, it was April Wine who opened the Stones show.
This new album will include 23 songs.
