The Pic du Midi Festival is one of a kind. It allows its spectators to listen to the most beautiful musical notes while being at an altitude of 3,000 meters. A delight for the ears and for the eyes.

Classical music symphonies resounding at 3,000 meters above sea level is quite unusual. However, this is the spectacle that observers of the Festival du Pic du Midi will be able to listen to. “The site is perhaps the most beautiful theater in the world”reacts an admiring spectator. To allow this extraordinary concert, the organization is quite complex to set up. The instruments must be taken up by cable car.

“This is the least common piano installation I do in the year”slips one of the installers. Once assembled, the piano must be protected, as it may be sensitive to temperature and its variations. If hearing is a sense awakened thanks to the soft musical notes played with talent by the musicians, the view is also important to observe the magnificent landscape visible from this extraordinary site. The Festival is certainly an absurd idea, but it offers an unforgettable moment for the musician. “There was something really exceptional”marvels Philippe Bianconipianist.
