The couple also acquired sister companies Harris & Wolff, a synchronization agency, and Maisonnette, which represents composers of screen music. The three brands will now be united in the Ray-On fold, located in Montreal.

“With this team, we are expanding our offer significantly to meet the growing demand from audiovisual producers,” Martin said in a statement on Tuesday.

Ray-On will therefore offer digital distribution, original music composition, synchronization, consultation, management and rights clearance services under one roof.

The box also represents the composers Philippe Brault (Maria Chapdelaine), Mathieu Vanasse (Plan B), Jean Massicotte (Antigone) and Serge Nakauchi Pelletier (Amber Alert) as well as the Dazmo collective (5and rank).

Mitsou Gélinas said she was happy that Ray-On could offer creators “a range of personalized services that promote the influence of their talent, both in Quebec and internationally. »

The Montreal agency was founded in 2017 by artistic director Denis Wolff. A member of the board of directors of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN), he resigned in April 2021 after being accused of assaulting a woman. Mitsou Gélinas and Iohann Martin became directors of the company on October 14.
