Music: a live album by Bashung looks back on his debut

In the L’Escale concert hall, located in Melun (Seine et Marne), was recorded, 40 years ago, an unpublished concert by Alain Bashung. The year 1981 marks the exit of the tunnel Bashung after several failures. Journalist Philippe Barbot attended the performance. “He was quite charismatic despite his “destroy” side, he was able to roll on the stage”he recalls.

At the time, the artist was still hesitating about his style. In 1981, Bashung begins to become famous thanks to the success of “Gaby”, a text recovered from an old project. “Gaby” cis also a saxophone introduction borrowed from a song by Buddy Holly.
