Muriel Robin’s former agent tackles her again after her comments on homosexuality in cinema!

This week-end, Muriel Robin was the guest of Léa Salamé in What era on France 2. On this occasion, Pierre Palmade’s former friend was rather unfiltered in speaking about his stalled film career caused by homophobia.

So, Muriel Robin said : “I am the only one in the world to say that I am homosexual. If you are homosexual, you are not desirable, you are not penetrable, and when you are not penetrable, in this society, and in cinema, you is worthless […] In 30 years have you seen me? I know how many comedies I’ve been in: two.”

Statements contradicted by his former agent

At the start of the week, Dominique Besnehard had the opportunity to comment the words of Muriel Robin on several platforms. The former agent of Anne le Nenn’s partner thus contradicted his protégé at the time on Buzz TV to whom he declared: “It’s her feeling, I think that what she says is stronger than reality. She was making a career as a comedy character and perhaps she did in fact want to have the roles of Girardot. But this time where she tried to do something else, she had made a film, I was her agent at the time, people didn’t yet want to see her in dramatic characters. Maybe physically she wasn’t not as fulfilled as now.

Still on the same theme, Dominique Besnehard was asked by C to you this Monday, September 18. Facing Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, the man declared: “She didn’t actually get the roles but I don’t completely agree with her. It’s not because she was homosexual, it’s maybe because she didn’t have the job yet (…) No one ever told me that we weren’t going to take Muriel Robin because she was a lesbian.

The man notably emphasized: “It’s perhaps even more difficult for men (…) The number of times the producers told me that it was impossible for men (…) For her, I was never told not said (…) I have heard a lot more things about men than women“. Spicy remarks.
