Longueuil police began a new search for clues Thursday, near the place where was found Manon Boisvert, this 54-year-old woman whose lifeless body had been discovered in her vehicle in January, with significant marks of violence.

It was a passerby who made this macabre discovery, in the parking lot of a shopping center, just in front of a Desjardins caisse.
A week later, the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) indicated that its analyzes of the surveillance cameras demonstrate beyond any doubt “that the murder of the victim was not committed at random”. The authorities then also confirmed that the murder would have been committed on January 2. The body would therefore have remained three days in the vehicle before being found.

Four months have passed since. On Thursday, police spokesman François Boucher said that “new information obtained during the investigation” is leading investigators to “carry out more targeted checks”.
