Andrei Donet, 18, was previously detained on charges of drug trafficking, possession of a firearm and breach of ordinance. He appeared by videoconference in Montreal on Friday.

He is instructed not to communicate with the other suspect, a minor arrested a few days after the murder of young Dopwell-Bailey. He had appeared before the Youth Division of the Court of Quebec on counts of conspiracy and second degree murder.

On October 18, the 16-year-old victim was stabbed in front of Coronation School at the intersection of Victoria and Van Horne avenues, at the end of class. He was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The evening of the murder, videos taunting the young victim and her group of friends had circulated on social networks.

The police seek to identify a third person suspected of being involved in this homicide. Anyone with information can contact 911 or their neighborhood station. It is also possible to communicate anonymously and confidentially with Info-Crime Montreal at 514 393-1133 or via the report form available on the infocrimemontreal.ca website.
