Murder in Montreal: the victim is a young man from Chicoutimi with a criminal past

A 28-year-old man from Chicoutimi with a heavy criminal past was murdered in Montreal on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, becoming the second victim of murder by firearm in less than 24 hours in the metropolis.

According to our information, the victim’s name is Alex Hudon. He is a young man with several criminal records.


Hudon was shot dead around 3 a.m. in a parking lot near the intersection of boulevard Henri-Bourassa and avenue Bois-de-Boulogne, in the Ahuntsic district.

According to our information, the victim received at least one projectile from a firearm in the ribs.

Surprisingly, no one reportedly called 911 after the shootings.

It was finally a passerby who contacted the emergency services after seeing the body of Alex Hudon, lying on the asphalt.

The death of the young man was pronounced on the spot and the body was covered with a sheet.

Major crime investigators and forensic identification technicians were dispatched to the scene to try to understand the circumstances surrounding the murder.

The author of the crime fled and had still not been found in the morning.

The motive for the murder remains unknown.

Alex Hudon had made headlines in recent years following his arrest in a case of theft of 14 firearms from a collector in Saguenay.

He was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2016 for his participation in three robberies he committed in order to buy drugs.

He had collaborated with the police in this investigation and had denounced his accomplices.

Alex Hudon was the second person shot and killed in Montreal in just 12 hours.

Tuesday afternoon, the daughter-in-law of a notorious mobster was murdered in front of his hair salon in the Côte-des-Neiges district.

Claudia Iacono, 39, was hit by several projectiles from a firearm while driving her vehicle.

His killer has not yet been arrested.

The victim is the spouse of Anthony Gallo, one of the sons of mobster Moreno Gallo, shot and killed in a restaurant in Acapulco, Mexico, in November 2013.
