Murder in Montreal in February | Police conduct series of searches

The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is conducting a series of searches Thursday morning, in connection with a murder committed in February in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.


Nearly a hundred agents from the SPVM, the Laval Police Department and the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department are mobilized for these searches, which are taking place in Montreal, Laval and Brossard.

On February 17, gunshots were heard around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Saint-Denis and Bellechasse streets, in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough. When they arrived, the police discovered a man seriously injured by gunfire. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Several shell casings were also found at the scene. The suspect(s) fled before the arrival of the patrol officers.
