Shamora Robertson, 35, was arrested in the past few hours in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
He was extradited to Montreal on Wednesday evening and was scheduled to appear at the Montreal courthouse Thursday on a murder charge.
In the company of three accomplices, Robertson is suspected of having participated in the murder of a 30-year-old man on the night of April 30, 2016, inside a dwelling on rue Grenet.
“After threatening the two roommates present, one of the four assailants brandished a firearm and fatally shot one of the victims in the head. The other victim survived after being beaten with a wooden stick,” the SPVM said in a statement.
Shamora Robertson’s arrest is the third to be made in this case. Shortly after the crime, investigators handcuffed Jermaine Carlton Gero and Nikita Hunt. For her part, Shamora Robertson had decided to leave the country a few days after the murder.
Investigators are still looking for the fourth and final suspect in this case.
