MURAL unveils its headliners

The MURAL urban art festival unveiled on Wednesday the names of 15 visual artists who will participate in its 11e editing.

In the lot, let’s note the presence of Montrealer Roadsworth, the world-renowned Spaniard Isaac Cordal and the Brazilian duo OSGEMEOS. The latter will produce a large mural on boulevard Saint-Laurent, in the city center, while the French artist Saype will produce a gigantic ephemeral work on the grass of a large city park.

Montreal muralists from Projet TYXNA will reinvent the mural Grandma the Hand, aka Grannyproduced at the very first festival, in 2013.

“We are thrilled to introduce you to this first wave of incredibly talented artists and we can’t wait to see them in action. We invite Montrealers and visitors from here and elsewhere to meet us again in June, to start the summer in style! “said Pierre-Alain Benoît, general manager of the MURAL festival, in a press release.

The festival will be held from June 8 to 18, 2023, on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. The boulevard will be closed to car traffic for the occasion. Access to the site will be free.
