The capital of Hungary was in turmoil this weekend. It’s not every day that a city gets the chance to host the MTV Europe Music Awards. For the 2021 edition, it is the American singer and rapper Saweetie who had the heavy task of animating the ceremony. In addition to doing the show on the red carpet and on stage in different looks, the interpreter of Best friend also received the award for new artist of the year.

As for the winners of the evening, Ed Sheeran won the most prestigious awards of the evening (best artist and best song for Bad Clothes). THE’award Best Music Video went to Lil Nas X and Best Group went to BTS. The French did not return empty-handed. David Guetta wins the prize for best electronic music and Amel Bent is crowned best artist in France.
