The deputy for Vienne and supporter of Olympique de Marseille, Sacha Houlié, says “very shocked” Monday October 30 on franceinfo and denounces the behavior of a “handful of bewilderment”after the incidents which broke out in the evening of Sunday October 29 in Marseille and which caused the postponement of the match between the two football clubs.

The Lyon team bus and four Lyon supporter buses were targeted by projectiles before arriving at the Vélodrome stadium. Lyon coach Fabio Grosso, injured in the face, had to receive 12 stitches. Eight people were taken into custody, said the prosecution and two investigations have been opened.

“We have made great progress”still assures the deputy for Vienne, citing in particular the report that he signed in 2020 with Marie-George Buffet to “improve the situation of supporters in France”. But “we can’t put a police officer behind every supporter”says Sacha Houlié. “In Marseille, we put this violence outside the stadium because all security measures had been taken within the stadium”continues the OM supporter.

The majority member judges that “it would be baroque to sanction” the Olympique de Marseille for “facts which do not concern him, over which the club could have no control”. He assures that the match must be replayed so that “football triumphs in the end”.
