Moussa Diaby to leave Aston Villa for Saudi league

The French international will join Karim Benzema and N’golo Kanté at Al-Ittihad.

French international winger Moussa Diaby, aged 25, will leave the English club Aston Villa for the Saudi championship, the sports management of Radio France learned on Sunday July 21 from a source close to the player, confirming information from RMC.

The 25-year-old winger, who trained at Paris Saint-Germain and has been playing for Aston Villa since last year, will sign a five-year contract with Al-Ittihad. He will notably join his compatriots N’golo Kanté and Karim Benzema as well as Laurent Blanc, who has recently been appointed coach in place of Marcelo Gallardo.

The transfer of Diaby, selected eleven times for the French team, is valued at 59 million euros.
