Mourguettes, all about the harvest in Uchaux

It’s harvest time for Isabelle Guichard. She created her domain out of passion and via crowdfunding 5 years ago.

Micro-estate, micro-cellar, micro-cuvées but great results, harvesting the first whites of the vintage.

By harvesting very early in the morning, we keep the freshness of the grapes. Afterwards, we work in the cellar, we destem, we press and we leave to ferment to transform the sugar in the fruit into alcohol.

Every day, we have to follow the work in the cellar very closely. The juices evolve quickly, fine bubbles form on the surface, and the winemaker looks at the color, consistency, appearance and tastes his juice several times a day.
