This Sunday, May 26, was marked by celebration throughout France, including a giant picnic on the Champs-Élysées, a European Rugby Cup in Toulouse and the celebration of mothers.

A jubilant crowd of 12,000 supporters came to give their champions a standing ovation in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). The Stade Toulouse players proudly brandished the Champions Cup on the Place du Capitole on Sunday May 26. In Paris, at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, a lunch took place on a 216 meter long gingham tablecloth. 4,000 people were drawn to participate in this giant picnic on the Champs-Élysées. The free baskets were made on site in the morning.

This Sunday is also Mother’s Day. In Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), seasonal flowers, peonies, hydrangeas and roses, delight a latecomer. “It always reminds us how much we love our mother, and where we come from”, he confides. Among florists, Mother’s Day is the second biggest day of the year, after Valentine’s Day.
