Moscow says it has retaken 10 towns in Russia’s Kursk region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky assures that this response by Moscow’s forces “is in line with the Ukrainian plan.”

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday, September 12, that it had retaken ten villages from Ukrainian hands in its Kursk region in two days. Ukrainian forces say they control about a hundred localities following their offensive launched in August in this border area. “During offensive operations, units of the Northern Troop Group liberated ten localities in two days”the Russian ministry said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had said on Thursday: “The Russians have launched counter-offensive actions”He assured that this response of the forces of Moscow “is in line with the Ukrainian plan”without providing further details.
